HIV Vaccine Awareness Day
May 18, 2012
May 18th is HIV Vaccine Awareness Day (HVAD). This annual observance is a day to recognize and thank the thousands of volunteers, community members, health professionals, and scientists who are working together to find a safe and effective HIV vaccine. It is also a day to educate our communities about the importance of preventive HIV vaccine research.

National HIV Testing Day
June 27, 2012
National HIV Testing Day (NHTD), June 27, is an annual observance to promote HIV testing. The National Association of People with AIDS (NAPWA) founded the day in 1995 and continues to be the lead for this observance.

International African Vaccinology Conference
November 9-11, 2012
Overview
The conference will focus on critical vaccine and immunisation issues for Africa and the world as we approach the 2015 deadline for achieving the Millennium Development Goals including research, policy, advocacy, and communication. It will provide a forum for discussion on vaccinology in Africa, including science, clinical, public health and health systems research.
